Hi, I’m Daniel.

I’m a science fiction author from Austin, Texas. I started /var/log/daniel because I needed a place to write about everything that wasn’t writing. I have a website at danielverastiqui.com that is focused on my books and the universe they inhabit, which wasn’t exactly the best place to write about colonoscopies and existential nihilism. You get it, right?

Anyway, this is my general purpose blog. I’m not trying to sell books, build my mailing list, or establish myself as a thought leader. I just like to write, whether that’s dystopian cyber-thrillers or a review of Weekend at Bernie’s 2. So take a look around, see what you think, and then go do something useful. I’ll just be here. Writing about anything.
